World Famous Sparkling Chandeliers, Exposed the drug network Kings Cross Currency The Kings Cross Sting

World Famous Sparkling Chandeliers
Exposed the drug network, that's what Kings Cross  Is all about.

The Kings Cross Sting, the hidden background and research.

The Drug network is the issue behind the working girls, the pimps, that have protected the hidden compartment.
History of this World Famous Brothel, will start to be revealed over the next couple of days, weeks and years to come.
Many of the stories will never be known and others will be brought to life by the people that have worked, lived or have been addicted to Kings Cross.
Sparkling Chandeliers World Famous Brothel, will be the first of its like in Australia this Brothel Museum in Kings Cross the home of the Red Light District for Australia.
Sparkling Chandeliers was just by chance the name given to this brothel that has been closed and open for many years.  The name I chose for the Brothel was The Chandelier which will be pinnacle of this brothel turning the history of the disappearance of Juanita Nielsen into a living history about a wonderful reporter, journalist that fought so hard against the development and drug dealing of the day in Kings Cross and surrounding areas.
Underbelly brought alive a passion for Kings Cross with not just about the Red light District in Sydney and Melbourne even to the World this history has to be told.
I found this link of the Underbelly links you may like to start to absorb a little of the history for the understanding of where our history begins.
A famous Club adjoined this Brothel in 1958 the Pink Pussycat Club was started by Abe Saffron and became the centre of entertainment for Sydney.  For years till it closed was a favourite spot to come and unwind.
This brothel by history has shown has been mentioned in many of the Royal Commissions.  There seems to be a story by everyone who has visited this boutique short stay Hotel where we have beds where no one sleeps.
The Brothel by history leads us to believe has been purpose built within this building.  The only windows were to the Kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundry.  If you look at the outside of this building you will note that there were no windows placed in this floor of the building anywhere else.
As the song goes Stairway to heaven by Led Zepplin we have 17 Steps to heaven.
Many songs about Kings Cross have been written along this Golden Mile, whether the song writer was here in person writing the words or the words depicited the Kings Cross area and you will enjoy some of this music as I collect it and present it.
Bringing to life not just the Club Pink Pussycat, however the people that made it click from the owners  Abe Saffron, to the ladies like Bobbi Sykes, to famous Madames Shirley Briffman and Tilly Devine where the Red light district kick started .  This famous Madame Tilly Devine had 30 brothels in the area from Darlinghurst to Kings Cross down to Woolloomoolloo, with Kate Leigh the slygrog operator.
Our concept for a brothel museum was not our first thought, however as we have lived through twelve months all of us would like to share the story of how this Brothel has been hidden away from the public by as legend talks about the secret door from the Pink Pussycat Club.  Maybe a yarn maybe the truth yet it is a story that needs to be told.
Kings Cross is made of whispers, each whisper is a story in it's own right.  These are the stories that will come alive in the Living Brothel Museum.
Kings Cross is famous for Jazz.  For many brothels the lone musician playing the piano was the start of Parlour music many years ago.  However Jazz made Kings Cross with many Jazz musicans playing at Clubs along the Darlinghurst Golden Mile.  The Elrocco Club was famous for the Nescafe Coffee and sitting back and listening to some Jazz.
For some of you who are residents of Sydney, Australia it will be a memory of your bucks party, 21st, or hearing stories from your grandfather handed down generation after generation about the Red light District of Kings Cross.  How the soldiers would leave Woolloomoolloo and come straight to Kings Cross from the days of the first World War.  How the soldiers would take a short cab ride up the hill to elight in the middle of the famous Golden Mile, the party would begin.
Many brothels and hotels around the world have ghosts living in them.  Whilst the history of this World Famous Brothel unravels you will hear stories of many that will talk about the most famous ghost a soldier who had a love affair I believe with a Madame called Tilly Devine.
Enjoy the history of Kings Cross and experience the Red light District in a way that will be talked about again as the most happening club to come too on the Golden Mile where your visit ultimately becomes history.
